FFM 3.7L V6 Mile Drag times & Dyno #'s

Recommended Posts

All,

This thread will be for posting your 2011+ 3.7L V6 Mustang drag times and dyno info displayed HERE

INSTRUCTIONS (rev. 2-13-14)

There are a few basic guidelines we ask in order to keep this thread organized so it can be used efficiently as a reference tool.

Please fill out your information as listed below, copy/past if you need to:

Performance Mods:
Tires:
Car color:
Transmission:
Race weight:
Dyno:

R/T..............
60'...............
330'.............
660'.............
660’ mph....
1000'...........
1320'...........
1320’ mph..
Name of the track:
Date of pass:

2. Upload an image of your time slip WITH YOUR USER NAME HAND WRITTEN ON THE SLIP

3. In order to keep the thread as clean as possible and easy to find references lets try to delete images from quoted posts (just highlight and delete key). If 10 members congratulate someone on a posted time by quoting and leave the slip in the quote it will eat up 2 pages! Also, if you forget to add something to your post you can go back and edit on this forum at any time so do that instead of posting additional posts.

Was a wonderful night for racing so I thought I'd start off this thread with a sub-14 second pass! (LOL)

DA started at -7 at just got better from there. Was manually shifting 1-2-3 and had 4 runs with a sub 2.04 60' time but had trouble hitting the limiter on the 1-2 shift most of the night (but all 7 passes were 13.38 or better). Also ran 13.270 @ 105.05 at -7 DA.

Nice Livewire! Holy crap, I can't even imagine what I would do with a -513 DA!!!

As soon as we get the sheet online I will add your time. We are working diligently in the background to get it up ASAP and it looks very close.

I ran it in drive on 3 runs, never bested 13.33. On this pass I even hit the limiter on the 1-2 but still came out with a good time.  If I can get the stars to align and get my best 60' to go with perfect 1-2 shift I'd be really happy.

Don't have any traction problems so long as I keep it under 1200rpm at the light.

This all has me rethinking a stall and ported intakes...

Here is the slip from my 12.60 pass.  Also looking at the mod list of my car on the spread sheet I now have UPR LCA's and this pass was made on MT ET Street drag radials.

OK, I am changing?

-your tires to MT ETs

-adding Strange 10 ways

..and times of course

That is correct, the tires for this pass were drag radials where my 12.63 pass was on bias ply tires.

Thanks!!

So for now your time profile will reflect DRs until you run on BPs again.

Your 1/8 mph dropped 3mph from your prior PB?

Probably so!

I think the drop is MPH can be attributed to the 1.5 inch taller tires which killed some of my gearing and the slightly higher DA.

My race weight with the drag radials was 3,555, 30 pounds higher than the 3,525 with the bias ply tires.  The date of my pass is listed as 10/18/03, as in 10 years ago.  It seems like it was only yesterday, LOL!!

Even with those factors, you still knocked a little off your PB..that's damn impressive Greg. I still think when conditions are right, you can get into the 12.40's pretty easily.

Don't feel bad about missing 3rd...last time at the track, I had two or three passes I needed a freaking map to find 3rd. It just would not drop in at the track, but I can nail it every time on the street. I guess the stock clutch doesn't like the higher torsional loads at the track so much.

Thanks Chris!!

I love driving a stick car!!  I also like launching on the bias ply tires better at the track than the drag radials.  The car looks much more impressive.
