Leap Day BBQ! Burgers & sausage Fresh Paint too.

Leap Day was special weather so I grilled some burgers marinated in  Silver Swan soy sauce 1 tbsp, Worchester sauce 2 tbsp, "Pickapeppa sauce" 2 tbsp & Hoisin sause 2 tbsp, mix in 1 med. egg. Grill 275-325 degrees slow for beer drinking.

Looks good, but I a purist when it comes to burgers. Fresh ground chuck seasoned with salt and pepper, maybe a touch of Webber burger seasoning. Cooked about 4min per side on the grill over med-high heat to a nice med rare.

post-929-0-60970000-1456917306_thumb.jpgThese are 80-20 chuck, med well. The egg gives it a different flavor profile as well as the exotic marinade. I do burgers "au naturel" for purist if informed or inclined. Rare burgers are not my forte, but ribeyes are, & prime rib!

Meh, well mind as well be a hockey puck at medium well to well done! Medium rare to medium at the most is where it's at.

Burgers? No, the hamburger needs to be fully cooked...

 

All other beef, rare.

I think this is how they figured out where to place the border.

I yell at my wife all the time about her rare burgers. It's not safe. Though she still argues she never gotten sick off them. Steak is a different thing. Pink is ok there.
