JoeyMustangs build, 2011 Mustang GT

Recommended Posts

So, instead of just doing topic after topic of the parts I'm buying, I decided to just group them up here and continue.

As many of you know, I bought my 2011 GT with 9,800 miles in June 2013. Its my DD and it has just ticked over 14k miles. Factory options was the premium package, 3.73 final ratio, and Brembo package.

Stock, first day at home:

I won to have my car plastidipped for free (http://www.fastfordmuscle.com/index.php/topic/401-soim-getting-my-car-plasti-dipped-for-free/?hl=plastidip) . Love the look and its still holding strong, will be peeled off in spring though, I miss my black paint.

First mod, Pypes Pype Bombs (http://www.fastfordmuscle.com/index.php/topic/506-first-mod-thanks-to-ffm/?hl=pypes&do=findComment&comment=7992) love the look and sound.

Afterwards I bought a C&L Intake from one of our members (thanks ForceofWill!)

Haven't installed it yet as I don't have a tuner and I don't need more power to slide in the snow LOL!

I also installed a Saleen Grille thanks to Burke because he bought the Roush grille and I didn't want to look identical LOL! I did get his black 5.0 badges and they look great (thanks Burke!!)

This year I've been fortunate enough to be able to spend some additional money on the car. I bought new wheels ( http://www.fastfordmuscle.com/index.php/topic/1387-new-wheels-for-the-gt/) which should be arriving end of month as they are back-ordered to the 20th. No matter, won't be installing them until spring either way. I'll probably install some BFGoodrich G-Force Comp 2 tires (had them on my 05 before, worked really well on dry and wet conditions) in size 285/35/19 and keep the stock front ones for now.

I also bought a CDC Chin Spoiler from a member in another forum. I love the GT/CS lower but everyone loves it too lol. Its going to give it a nice, but subtle, aggressive look:

Whats next? Suspension:

-Steeda springs

-Shocks/struts

-X brace

after that, who knows....this car handles phenomenally so we'll see what happens. Plans for the car are mostly road course, I'm so high that drag racing over here is just not funny.

I just noticed I've had my car for only 6 months...holy shit this is the fastest I've modded a car ever :senile: . Thank you God for an awesome job! LOL! And a wife that doesn't care as long as I also buy her stuff (mistress/wife relationship)

Damn you still haven't put on that intake.  Get a tune and slap that baby on!  A tune will change your car you won't even recognize it.

Unfortunately no  :banghead:  right now its an interesting drive (I have basically no hills coming and going to work), I don't think it would be necessary 20+rwhp lol but when spring comes...

Went to the shop that will be doing all the work on the car today. Talked to them for a while. Got an appointment. Tomorrow after 6pm I'll post pictures  :Big Grin:.

BTW, It's not Steeda, but its Ford Racing  :peace:

I love your car in black it looks great  ...jus sayin , and word of advice if you plan on going FI one day just save your money for that i wasted alot of money that wasn't necessary since i wound up with the blower any how. But if not then it seems that the CJ intake is producing some good results over the boss intake if your trying to get as much out of the car NA i would say get that setup . Good luck

I don't know yet honestly. If I leave it as a DD I may need to stay N/A just because of winter conditions. There is no way I could drive it in snow conditions with 600+rwhp. So we will see what happens in the future.

^^ It's that last part that's almost impossible to do, the will power required to not get the grin is big.

lots of people have black ones...I would keep they gray till it turned bad.  Maybe if you are bored some highly contrasting stripes (yellow/orange/grabber blue)

I know you didn't ask.

Mud, with you I don't need to ask lol I don't really know what I'll do. The car gets good attention but I'm getting pressured to take it off lol.

Just got back to work, left the car in the shop. This guys were highly recommended by various members. The shop is called Premier Performance and its like 15 minutes from my house LOL! Took a "tour" of the shop and saw a familiar car...

DSC_7796.jpg

yep...that is the Evolution Mustang. After the wheelstand they tore the car up and sold it. They had to redo the strut surface or whatever its called after the fall. They are building it back up as a street legal car (had a huge roll cage, no a/c etc.) and as the owner said "it won't pass inspection, but it will be street legal" LOL!

Still has the Bogarts in front but in the back now it has black Race Stars with M/T ET Drags. Looks mean as hell! and the chute does give out a hint of whats inside lol. Its pushing over 1,200rwhp.

After seeing this and the other stangs, I'm confident I'm in good hands. I'll be picking the car up in the afternoon.

Wrong (non-adjustable) panhard bar means that my car is still at the shop. They shipped one overnight and hopefully I'll have it by today.

This got in yesterday...

Looks great. Really good construction and I like that it has the opportunity to add cooling ducts for future Mejico racing lol

Almost looks like a freakin' snow tire!

they are definitely not for snow unless you want to go to a parking lot and hoon a little lol

That is why I'm going to wait until April to get them installed with the wheels...its only 2 more months  :banghead:

Take a look at my signature pic ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

and this is how it looks now...

sorry for the crappy pic, I took it with my phone with the sun coming down so I had to put in a filter to lighten it up so you could see the tire lol

FRPP K Springs with BMR Adjustable Panhard Bar. Car still has the track pack shocks/struts. Its so nice to be able to have a lowered car again. I've only driven it for about 5-6 miles so once it settles it should be slightly even lower!!!

Can't wait for spring to get here, its going to look awesome with the new wheels.

Nice!  Now you can keep the XBox.  But next time get your priorities straight!  Get your homework car done first then you can play games.
