  1. Roanstang I agree, those rear speakers really don't do much. They are definitely on my list but man they look like a PITA to get to. Would have been nice if they were bottom mount and removable from the trunk! 3.7 MCA PP MPT 91 tune, Steeda CAI, BBK TB, BBK shorties, GT500 AB, BMR springs, Koni STR.T, Steeda LCA
  2. mariusvt sorry took me awhile to get back. I'm a part-time 'lurker' haha! Yes I tapped the front speaker wires. The bazooka had volume but it was very low. I called bazooka tech support and after explaining the Shaker setup had a separate amp and I was tapping the speaker wires pre-amp he mentioned the signal was not strong enough for the FAST harness corresponding front speaker wires. He told me to cut the RCA heads off the RCA wires on the FAST harness and tap those into my h/u front speaker wires. Apparently the RCA wires are meant for pre-amp signals. Worked like a charm:) Hope that clarifies my earlier post. I'm not clear on the 9/10 question. What were you referring to? (It's probably staring me in the face lol) 3.7 MCA PP MPT 91 tune, Steeda CAI, BBK TB, BBK shorties, GT500 AB, BMR springs, Koni STR.T, Steeda LCA
  3. UPDATE: Finally got everything sorted out. Need to use two different wiring diagrams to figure out the Shaker500 harness. The base wiring diagram identifies the antenna wire. The Shaker diagram identifies the speaker wires (different colors vs base). There doesn't seem to be a 12v wire that turns off with the ignition and the 12v to the head unit may actually come from the digital input wires. So needed to tap the fuse box for 12v. Final note is the speaker outputs are not strong enough for the amplified bazooka (volume was very low from bazooka). As a result needed to cut the RCA wires and splice them into the head unit speaker wires instead. I'll include the factory wiring diagrams I used. Hope this post helps others make sense of the Sync and Shaker combo with the Bazooka FAST harness. BTW the 50w 8" bazooka works perfectly for what I wanted. Allows me to really fill in the lows at louder playing volumes without causing my door panels to rattle like it usually does when running only the Shaker subs. 3.7 MCA PP MPT 91 tune, Steeda CAI, BBK TB, BBK shorties, GT500 AB, BMR springs, Koni STR.T, Steeda LCA
  4. Thanks guys! Roanstang I followed everyone here from the old forum but I'm a 'lurker' most of the time haha. This is really an awesome group of mustang fans! 3.7 MCA PP Steeda 91 tune, Steeda CAI, BBK TB, GT500 AB, BMR springs, Koni STR.T
  5. Anyone have a link to an accurate 2013 shaker 500 wiring diagram? Still can't seem to find one. 3.7 MCA PP Steeda 91 tune, Steeda CAI, BBK TB, GT500 AB, BMR springs, Koni STR.T
  6. Update for anyone else that may try this in the future. If you put a little pressure after unbolting the head unit it will move enough forward that you can squeeze your hands behind and access the clips to the harness. In my case the antenna wire was the tightest and once popped off I could gain more room to easily access the other connections. Hopefully it's all downhill from here. 7. Haha! Watch me try and get stuck or tap into the wrong wiring... then I'll end up at the shop too! Hoping someone did something similar and has an easy shortcut for me. Thks 3.7 MCA PP Steeda 91 tune, Steeda CAI, BBK TB, GT500 AB, BMR springs, Koni STR.T
  8. I have a 2013 shaker 500 system. Trying to hook the FAST harness to the factory harness. Can anyone give me guidance where to access the proper wires? The head unit seems a pain to remove since the wires are so tight I can't pull it out without first disconnecting the harnesses by feel. I'm worried I won't be able to plug them back in afterwards. I see the factory amp near the driver side kick panel but the wires don't seem to match the colors specified on the factory wiring diagram. Any help is greatly appreciated. 9. Thanks Mariusvt and S550. May need to give Ken and MPT a try. They seem to have these 3.7s dialed in pretty well. 3.7 MCA PP Steeda 91 tune, Steeda CAI, BBK TB, GT500 AB, BMR springs, Koni STR.T
  10. I'm still running my old Gus tune from Steeda. Has anyone had success w the new post Gus tunes or has everyone moved to MPT? Got my shorty headers awhile ago but hesitant to do any tune changes as it runs really strong now. Grimace - I remember a really old post of yours where I thought you expressed some concern with MPT and engine longevity (not trying to put words in your mouth so correct me if wrong). I'm considering trying MPT. Any concerns? 3.7 MCA PP Steeda 91 tune, Steeda CAI, BBK TB, GT500 AB, BMR springs, Koni STR.T
  11. Thks for the replys Grimave and McCarthy. Very helpful! 3.7 MCA PP Steeda 91 tune, Steeda CAI, BBK TB, GT500 AB, BMR springs, Koni STR.T
  12. Time for new shoes. Liking what I read about these Potenza S04's as well as the Conti Extreme DW's. Can anyone comment on tread wear and expected miles between these two? Thks 3.7 MCA PP Steeda 91 tune, Steeda CAI, BBK TB, GT500 AB, BMR springs, Koni STR.T
  13. Glad to see Steeda on this forum. Really like my 91 datalogged tune from Steeda (Gus). I think the unlimited tunes is what got a lot of people including myself interested. I also remember speaking to Gus on the phone and he sounded pretty stressed with all the email requests for tunes and revisions. Hope to see them work these links out soon. I just installed my BBK shorties but holding off on getting a revised tune for now.

    Shorty question

Could it have been the traction control cutting in? I know I've had something similar happen on an aggressive 1-2 shift. I heard turning off traction control or putting in sport mode solves it. 3.7 MCA PP Steeda 91 tune, Steeda CAI, BBK TB, GT500 AB, BMR springs, Koni STR.T

    My leaky rear...

Cool! Just thought I'd throw it out there. My Pirellis are on their last leg so be interesting to see if the whine I hear goes away with new tires. Keep us updated when you get new shoes on your mustang. 3.7 MCA PP Steeda 91 tune, Steeda CAI, BBK TB, GT500 AB, BMR springs, Koni STR.T
