Ok, I'm back and this is my fix for the bbk extension connectors, see picture :Attached File  DSC_0232.JPG   93.17KB   14 downloads

I used a piece of wire from old wideband sensors to plug those pin holes and yeah I added some clear silicone on top of the seal just to be safe .

Now, the second problem is water dripping from a/c evaporator drain tubes (yes tubes, is 2 of them, one on each side of transmission) on the wire harness for rear o2's and speed sensor, way to go ford... Good job... I just shake my head when I see stuff like that, so if you have your front wideband sensor connector zip tied to the harness like I did then you will not drive long before you get check engine light and eventually have to replace the wideband sensors and as you all know they are not cheap, about $100 a piece. So when ever is raining or is too hot and your using the a/c the water is dripping from those tubes onto the harness, for some reason it looks like it drips more on the passenger side that's why I think bank 1 sensor 1 goes first, here are pictures from both sides :Attached File  DSC_0218.JPG   51.66KB   10 downloadspassenger side

Attached File  DSC_0226.JPG   106.23KB   9 downloads this is the driver side and as you can see I got lucky and was able to move the harness back and away from the path of the water, not so lucky with the passenger side but I did the best I could to keep it dry. It will be continued..

It's too bad those drains aren't really accessable, you could put some longer line on them and route them away from the connections.

My comment re: contacting your vendor(s) was aimed at all who have had these issues. One voice doesn't often move the needle very much, but multiple voices may have a little more effect. Your fix looks like a potential solution, keep us posted.

Be careful not to completely seal up the end of the O2 sensor.  I think you are correct that water is killing them.  I realized every time it rained I was losing my sensors.  I looked into it and found out that the sensors compare the oxygen levels in the exhaust with the outside air to take readings.

Around the 2 minute mark and later you will see this explained.

The sensor is getting oxygen from the top of the sensor where the wires go in, you don't want to put any silicone there, but you need to make the connectors water proof

Yes that is correct.  Just wanted to make sure you were aware.

Unfortunately, as far as I know the only real solution is get borla LT's or shorties...

Crappy solution I know. But hey, could prob sell your LT's for the price of new shorties, then it's just a painful day of getting the headers out and new ones in, and problem solved!

Well, possibly. Shorties will not be quite the same.

Shorties terminate at the stock midpipe right before the cats, so you can either run your stock midpipe and retain your cats (my recommendation for many reasons, 1) not destroying the environment by orders of magnitude more than otherwise required, 2) sounds WAY better), or you can get a catless midpipe.

I run BBK shorties as do many people, but I have heard JBA's are a solid choice as well.

Anyone using Hooker headers? I like their design, not the price.

Hooker makes headers for the Cyclone?!

And their shorties add exactly +9.23 HP and +8.33 LB.FT torque.

I think these people need to learn how to use sig figs, because that kinda crap pisses me off! I grantee their accuracy isn't even with 5hp................... But they show an 3 orders of magnitude more than that? Such Stupid, Much Annoying.

I do a Lot of research, building custom cars and Hooker is the design I really like for the Cyclone. Just compare the design in photo's. I've not used their headers but the design is really nice.

P2251 is Bank 1 sensor 1, which means the passenger side front O2 sensor. Should be mounted at the exhaust manifold collector before the cat flange.

That is for eliminating the P0420/P0430 cat efficiency fault codes when you remove the factory cats.
